Subject: Big Bear Trail Riders' June, 2006 Dual-Sport Event --------------------------------------------------- Been riding for 40 years. Dual Sport for 15+ . I just rode Saturday's ride which absolutely kicked my butt. One of the ABSOLUTE BEST RIDES that I have ever ridden!!! 2 things that really set this ride apart was the abundance of course red ribbons and above all --- The extreme amount of friendly attitude and attention to detail from the Big Bear Trail Riders. These people ( including wives, girlfriends, kids...little kids ) seemed to me that they just couldn't do enough for us. What a CLASS ACT !!! Looking forward to next year, possibly volunteering some of my time, too..... Very, very gratefully, Joe ----------------------------------------------------- My brother Joe and I arrived Saturday and rode your little ride in the San Bernardino Mountains. We both hated this outing. It was toooo hot, too dusty, too rocky, tooo long, too wet, not wet enough, not enough trees, there was not any apple pastries in the morning, there was no decaf coffee. There were too many of those pesky pink ribbons. We didn't get lost once, not once the entire day. We didn't need one of those expensive GPS units at all. Oh how would we ever survive? And, who's stupid idea was it to make us stop at a shake shop and make us have the best banana shakes I have ever had? Now how were we expected to want to continue to ride? P.S. Please put our names at the top of your list for next year's ride. We can't stop talking to all our friends about how much fun we had. We both wanted to say thank you to all of your club members and their families who stood out there in the hot sun and cheered each of us riders like we were riding and leading the Paris to Dakar. It's these little things that make me want to ride this every year. P.S.(2) congratulations to those riders who were able to complete the entire hard section. If it hadn't been for that banana shake we would have finished the rest of the hard sections too. Larry --------------------------------------------------- I totally agree. The Big Bear Trail Riders Rule, other clubs should drool. Many members (families and individuals) put lots of effort into the event. I really thank you for GREAT TIME!!! AWESOME JOB!!!!! Jeff ------------------------------------------------------ Ya know, it's great notes like these that make sitting out in the hot sun treking around an extra rack all worth it!!! Thanks!!! Now I just need to find Greg, the proud owner of a kidney protector that was left behind in my jeep! Christine
